ZIRO, Apr 11: Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar reviewed the status of all the home quarantined people of Ziro at a meeting convened at Hapoli today.
All the nodal officers and supervisors appointed against each village presented their status report on the quarantined people. As per their reports all the home quarantined people are asymptotic till date. The Supervisors also assured to continue monitoring even after the lapse of the quarantine period.
Deputy Commissioner said that those advised for quarantine should ensure it is done in letter and spirit of the advisory.
“The actual problem will start once the lockdown is relaxed and our people stranded across the country returns back. We will have to be more vigilant and have SOPs in place to ensure there is proper screening and absolute quarantine,” he added.
DMO Dr. Tage Kanno informed that post 14th April , quarantine facilities will be categorized into COVID Care Center for rapid test negative and asymptotic people , Dedicated Covid Centre for rapid test positive and asymptotic cases and a Dedicated Covid Hospital for confirmed and symptotic cases.
“The contact tracing of people coming from outside the state after 14th April will be our baseline for quarantine. “ he added while requesting the administration to depute responsible officers for contact tracing and allowing the medical team to dedicate completely for clinical cases.
EAC Bamin Tarang informed that a committee has already been formed for facilitating and monitoring quarantine centers in the district. The district will also frame its own SOP keeping in mind the local conditions for receiving and transporting people coming into Ziro after 14th April, he further informed.
Further he also informed that Doding Dollo Primary Level Federation donated Rs.10,000 and NES , Ziro Unit donated 2 lakhs to the district administration for combating Covid. Also Jotam Tat, Tabia Chobin and Toko Nikam donated Rs ten thousand each for the cause.
