Itanagar, Aug 9: The Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Vikram Singh Malik, convened a meeting with various stake holders to review the preparation for the Independence Day celebration here at IG park today. The DC stressed that all arrangements should be completed within the given time frame so as to ensure that no last minute lacunae are left for the grand celebration. He also stressed that the day should be celebrated in its true spirit.
Altogether, 26 troupes are participating in march past including nine troupes of uniformed personnel, two band teams and rest troupes from different schools.
Also, nine traditional troupes and seven student troupes are participating in various cultural programme to celebrate the day.
Among others, Principal PTC Dr. Guriqbal Singh Sidhu, SDO Sangeeta Yirang, EAC(Festival) Choiki Dondup, Director IPR Obang Tayeng, DD(Art and Culture) Tako Dupit and Officers from various departments including Engineering departments attended the meeting. DIPRO
