 PANGIN, Apr 21: Deputy Commissioner, Siang District, Rahul Singh today reviewed the utilization of biometric machines which was distributed free of cost earlier this year on the occasion of Republic Day to all the schools. 

The meeting was attended by all the principals, headmasters and other representatives of the Government Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools of the district including the DDSE, Odhuk Tabing.

DC Singh while stressing the importance and need for maintaining punctuality, discipline, and work culture by the teaching fraternity in order to achieve genuine improvement in the quality of education, directed all the stakeholders to ensure cent percent teacher attendance in their respective schools. Stating that the machines should not go waste, the DC urged everyone present to take up the matter in all seriousness.

He directed all the principals and headmasters to prepare monthly biometric attendance report of the teachers with a copy of the same to be sent to him and the DDSE and to prepare the salary of teachers on the basis of that report. He also urged the need for timely submission and updating of the online MIS System.

Taking advantage of the meeting, various problems being faced by the schools especially the lack of toilets, drinking water facilities and water connection facilities were also discussed.
