ITANAGAR, Jan 5: The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan today launched the special enrolment camp for the members of the Transport Federation for enrolling them in three schemes of Central and State government viz Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Chief Ministers Aarogya Arunachal Yojana at Takar Complex, Naharlagun today.
The DC urged upon all the members to enrol themselves and further encourage others also to enrol in pro people schemes of the Central and State Government. He requested the members present and the transport federation to disseminate the information regarding such schemes to others so that the message reaches to even the farthest and remotest areas. He stressed that with a meagre premium, these insurance schemes can be of extreme help in cases of untoward incidents and hospitalization. He also appealed the denizens to get themselves enrolled through such camps which have been set up for the convenience of the people.
Earlier, President AAPPTF Dobing Sonam while highlighting the benefits of the schemes to the public informed that in the earlier camp that was held at Itanagar, more than 1300 enrolment was registered combining all the three schemes. Aiming for a higher enrolment at Naharlagun, Sonam also urged citizens to come forward and get themselves enrolled. He also informed that the camp will continue for two more days.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ` 12 exclusive of taxes. In case of accidental death or full disability, the payment to the nominee will be ` 2 lakh and in case of partial Permanent disability ` 1 lakh. 
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts. It has an annual premium of ` 330. In case of death due to any cause, the payment to the nominee will be ` 2 lakh. 
Chief Minister’s Aarogya Arunachal Yojana is a state health insurance scheme with coverage up to ` 5 lakhs for secondary and tertiary care. 
The camp was organized by District Administration Capital Complex in association with All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation and State Bank of India.
