PASIGHAT, Oct 1: The month-long Rashtriya Poshan Maah implemented by Pasighat ICDS project concluded on Monday last here at the Mirbuk Community Hall with the pledge to take forward the message of proper nutrition to the grassroots.
East Siang DC Dr. Kinny Singh congratulated the DD ICDS and all stakeholders for successful implementation of the Poshan movement and lauded their proactive efforts and dedication. DD ICDS, Ponung Ering Angu called for making the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan a mass movement in the district and lauded the efforts and contributions of the Anganwadis Workers (AWWs). The best performing AWWs also received cash awards. District ASHA Nodal Officer(DANO), Dr. Nung Ratan also acknowledged the convergence efforts of the link departments for success of Poshan Maah in the district.
A Haat Bazaar on local organic fruits and vegetables was also organized and prizes were given to the winners of the Best Recipe Contest, Best Anganwadi Workers, Drawing, Painting and Dance competitions on Nutrition/Poshan. IAS Officer and prominent senior citizen, Tani Ering, Village president T.Komut and GB Mirbuk village and local residents also spoke on the occasion.
