ITANAGAR, May 14:

Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan today visited the Donyi Polo Gangging Itanagar and participated in the prayer service.

In his speech, the DC exhorted the young children and youth to promote and preserve their indigenous culture. Dhawan also shared his personal experience about a prayer that was held for speedy recovery of his broken leg. Drawing from the experience, he said that the indigenous culture has a power of its own to unite society and rid it off the evils and in case this culture erodes, then we may also lose this wonderful and divine power. The Deputy Commissioner also assured the believers to contribute funds for construction and maintenance of the boundary wall. This is the first ever visit by any DC since its inception.
