PANGIN, Feb 25: In the wake of the proposed 72 hour bandh called by the public of Pangin area on February 26-28 next, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh today held a emergency coordination meeting which was attended by administrative officers, PRI members and prominent public leaders of the concerned area.
The need for immediate and speedy infrastructure development in the area including construction of buildings for General Administration at the earliest are the main demand of the bandh callers. The DC while giving assurance to the public representatives to immediately take up the matter with higher authorities on priority urged them to call off the bandh.
Stating that infrastructure development has been taking place and buildings of WRD, PHED, APEDA office, Office of DD (UD & H) including residential buildings etc have already been constructed and new buildings have also been added to the DC office Complex, he assured them of pursuing the matter raised by the bandh callers to the best of his ability.
Stating that such bandh cause huge inconvenience to both administration and general public, he urged them not to create any law and order problem nor indulge in destruction of government property as such activities is highly detrimental for the people and the district. Seeking cooperation from the members present, he appealed them to help allay all fears and misunderstanding of the public and urged them to not be misled by rumours and false stories.
