BOMDILA, Oct 1: Underscoring the need for a baseline survey and holistic approach towards implementation of the RURBAN schemes, Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop urged officers and departments concerned to put their best efforts to fill up the critical gaps in various sectors facilitating a well balanced growth and development.
The DC also directed the line departments to ensure that the schemes incorporated under RURBAN are carried out according to the laid down norms avoiding duplicity. Further, she directed the BDO to involve line department officers for technical expertise.
The third meeting of the District Programme Management Unit of Shayama Prasad Mookerji RURBAN Mission for Nafra Rurban Cluster Unit under West Kameng initiated by the Centre as a pilot project in the state was held here today to approve the DPR by the District Project Management Unit.
Earlier, PD, DRDA, KN Damo highlighting the importance of the crucial meeting said that the objective of the Shayama Prasad Mookerji RURBAN Mission was to meet the lopsided developments and to fill up critical gaps. The mission aimed at augmenting or providing urban facilities such as roads, potable drinking water, power connectivity, banking system, etc. at the identified village clusters for sustainable development, he added.
