PASIGHAT, Jul 19: East Siang DC Tayi Taggu has asked for 100% immunisation coverage in every health centre including outreach vaccination sessions , thereby ensuring every child is protected from vaccine preventable diseases. He said this while reviewing the routine immunisation coverage achieved during the first quarterly in the district during the 1st Quarterly district task force meeting on immunization cum review meeting for East Siang District.
DMO, Dr. Komling Perme stressed on proper household survey in villages and urban areas as the basis for successful implementation of Micro plan for Routine Immunisation and for proactive efforts to cover floating population. The DMO said that all health centres must be prepared for NQAS certification (National Quality Assurance Standards) to meet up the 50% target by 2025 and 100 % NQAS certification of health facilities covering district hospital, PHCs, CHCs and UPHCs - by 2026. The DMO also instructed for Micro plan for Routine Immunisation sessions three months in advance and upload inconcerned portal, registration of all facilities under Clinical Establishment Act.
The meeting also highlighted the requirement of ASHAs as ASHAs are overburdened in Urban Health Centres.
DRCHO Dr. N. Angu , in his PPT presentation highlighted the status of routine Immunisation for – BCG Penta 1 , 2 , 3, Rota 1,2,3, OPV ‘O’ Dose, Hepa B ‘O’ dose- measles , Measles & Rubella immunization of PHCs of Ruksin, Mebo and PasighatBlocks including BPGH & FRU Ruksin. The DRCHO also highlighted the award of quality certification of HWCs Berungand FRU Ruksin under NQAS aand LAQshya programme.
MS BPGH , Dr. Y.R. Darang, DVBDC PO, Dr. Keni Lego, District Surveillance Officer, Dr. K. Lego, District ASHA Nodal Officer, Dr. Nung Ratan , MO Incharges of all health facilities, Health & Wellness Officers (HWO), Block Community Mobilisers, Block Data Managers, Lady Health Visitors(LHV) , NHM staff among other attended the day long DTFI cum Review meeting.
Consultant, WHO RRT & Routine Immunisation , Dr. Aishwarya RG also shared inputs for strengthening Routine Immunisation in rural and urban areas and for Measles and Rubella Surveillance like vital support from stakeholders viz. Municipal Councillors in urban areas, Angawadis under ICDS, department of education by checking MCP Cards during checking and reporting in cases of any symptoms, regular training and re-orientation of MOs, HWOs, ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers for headcount survey and other issues etc.
