PASIGHAT, Jul 6: Winners of Swacch Sunder Sauchalaya Contest (Clean Beautiful Toilets Contest) of East Siang district under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) were  felicitated today here  at Siang Guest House by   DC Dr. Kinny Singh. 
During the function celebrated as  Swachh Sunder Sauchalaya  Day in the district and organized by PHE & WS Division, Pasighat ,  DC presented Certificates and Cash awards to ten household beneficiaries from Mebo, Ruksin-Sille and Pasighat Blocks  for their outstanding performances  in  spreading Swacch Bharat Mission(SBM) messages under the innovative  campaign  through beautification  and cleanliness of their respective Individual Household Toilets. 
Alem Jerang of Tekang -1, Laosing Doley of Mer Village and Tarung Taning of Tigra Mirbuk were the top three winners under the Category of Best Paintings with Sanitation Message of Household Toilets. While in another category, best five Performer Sarpanches under SBM were given to Yago Mize of Tekang –II, Upok Ratan of Mebo, Onong Tadeng of Lingka, Karo Moyong of Ralling  and Tamin Tako of  Miglung Villages.
Appreciating their efforts towards clean and hygienic villages, DC  said that it should be the motto to attain   ODF plus status by focusing on  solid and Liquid waste management for which GBs and all members in villages need to be mobilized. Citing the cleanliness efforts by village community and sanitation status of Ledum Village of the district which has been recognized as the cleanest village in the district, she also urged  other villages to adopt proper household waste segregation and waste disposal system.
AE,PHED, Pasighat, T.Padung presented the status of SBM(Gramin)  by highlighting the achievements made in Community Sanitary Complex(CSC), Solid and Liquid Waste Management(SLWM), 100%IIHL coverage. Best paintings of the awardees (SBM) depicting message of cleanliness were also exhibited in the function. DIPRO
