Itanagar, Apr 17: The Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar cum ARO 1- Arunachal West Parliamentary Constituency, Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta has appealed the denizens of Capital Itanagar to participate in the largest festival of democracy on  April 19 next. She appealed to all the eligible voters to turn up in large numbers to exercise their adult franchise for the Lok Sabha Elections.  
Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License are among the list of documents which could be considered as alternate ID cards in case if EPIC cards are not brought along.
The DC has further appealed the denizens to cooperate with the officials engaged in election duty and to refrain from accepting bribery in exchange of vote, Impersonation or obstruction of any kind to the polling team in performing election duties. Also, no mobile phones would be allowed within the 100 metre radius of Polling stations on the poll day. Hence she has appealed the denizens not to bring their mobile phones when they come for voting. The citizens are requested to either keep it at home or to hand it over to their relatives or anybody accompanying them on the poll day as the responsibility of the mobile phones will fall solely on its owner. 
Further, dry days have been announced from April 17 to 19, and the day of counting for Legislative Assembly on June 2 next and the day of counting for Lok Sabha on June 4 next. The DC has sought cooperation of all in making the election successful.
