PASIGHAT, Mar 11: DEO Dr. Kinny Singh appealed for strict adherence to model code of conduct and asked full cooperation from the leaders and government employees in this regard.
Meanwhile, under watchful eyes of the DEO, media certification and monitoring committee, video surveillance and viewing teams, expenditure monitoring committee etc have been formed and pressed into service to check illegal or over budgeted expenditure or ‘paid news’ etc. She is closely monitoring every development and tirelessly guiding in the election process to protect the democratic right of the citizens. Singh cautioned the officers/officials entrusted to election duty to strictly comply to ECI guidelines and ensure that posters, banners and flags are not put up on unauthorized structures on public places.
In an executive order, DEO cum District Magistrate today has directed to withdraw all the licensed arms and ammunitions under East Siang District Administration. She also directed the respective OCs to deposit the fire arms of the licensee in the armory under a proper acknowledgement to the licensee and to return them after completion of the election process.
