PASIGHAT, Dec 5: A day-long camp under Deendayal Antodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) was conducted today by the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) here under the guidance of DC-cum-PMC Administrator Dr. Kinny Singh.
The camp aimed to select deserving beneficiaries from Individuals and Self Help Group (SHG) heads under the Self Employment Programme (SEP-Individual) & Self Employment Programme (SEP-Group) components of DAY-NULM respectively, a CSS scheme being implemented by the PMC. Promising individual entrepreneurs and members of the about 15 SHGs comprising 100 persons attended the camp and a total of five individuals and three SHGs were recommended for extension of bank linkages to allow them in early start of their businesses. DC apprised the participating individuals about the aim of the initiative which is to generate livelihood and encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship in state. Throwing lights on the benefits, she advised them to invest the start-up loans for long term sustainability and urged the members of the SHGs to actively participate in management of solid waste including door-to-door collection and propagate the message of cleanliness.
The camp was attended by District Lead Bank Manager SBI R.C Patir, Branch Manager Bank of Baroda Vinit Kumar and functionaries of PMC. DIPRO
