Itanagar, Mar 27: With an attempt to generate awareness about free and fair elections, the District Administration Capital Complex is currently conducting a series of events under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation programme or SVEEP.
Audio Visual Publicity van which is reaching out to the public covering all the major locations under Capital Complex is one such. The van plays videos on the importance of voting, how to cast vote using EVM-VVPAT etc. Pamphlets on how to cast vote etc are also being distributed among the public through the van.
Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Himanshu Gupta is hopeful that with such initiatives, awareness about free and fair voting would spread among people particularly the shopkeepers and market dwellers. Areas near Legi complex and Gandhi market were covered today and will continue in other parts till the day of voting.
DC has further appealed the denizens of Capital Complex to cooperate with the District Administration and abstain from any activity that violates the Model Code of Conduct.DIPRO
