ITANAGAR,  Apr  6: In view of the increasing dust and other particulate matter polluting the air around the capital complex due to highway expansion work,  the district administration has ordered the construction firm to sprinkle water at regular intervals to ease inconvenience to denizens.
 
The I/c District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex Talom Dupak vide an order has directed the concessionaire, T. K. Engineering & Consortium Pvt. Ltd to sprinkle water at regular intervals every day, along the NH415 from Papu Nallah to Vivek Vihar, Itanagar where construction activities are being taken up, by engaging sprinkling vehicles simultaneously in between 10 AM to 12 Noon, between 2 PM to 4 PM and during night (7 PM to 9 PM). The order further stated that any violation of this order shall be viewed seriously and the Project Manager, T.K. Engineering & Consortium Pvt. Ltd shall be held responsible personally and action will be taken as per various provisions of law.
The order was issued after it was observed that earth cutting is being carried out at many locations within the Capital Complex for 4-Lanning of NH415 by the Concessionaire, T.K. Engineering & Consortium Pvt. Ltd and due to earth cutting and other construction activities, the environment has been polluted with increased presence of dusts & other tiny particles which is causing inconvenience to the denizens. 
The order further stated that it is apprehended that increased presence of dusts & other tiny particles may affect public health and may  endanger to human life.
The i/c DC has further directed the SP, Capital Complex, EAC Itanagar and Naharlagun and OC PS Itanagar and Naharlagun to personally monitor the same and a report in this regard to be submitted to his Office by the EAC, Itanagar and Naharlagun.
