Yupia, Apr 15: More than 100 men in uniform marched across the entire stretch of Doimukh Township to instil confidence in the electoral process and ensure that voters can exercise their franchise without fear or intimidation in the ensuing simultaneous elections. 
The flag march led by DEO Papum Pare, Jiken Bomjen and SP Papum Pare Taru Gusar was carried out from Doimukh Police Station to RGU Tinali, Saturday market and then Sopo village.
The DEO urged all the voters to turn out in large number without fear and exercise their adult franchise.
SP Taru Gusar while informing that all necessary security arrangement has been made to ensure a safe environment for voting, urged all the voters to maintain peace during the election process.
“However, any individual trying to create law and order problems and disrupt the peaceful environment shall be dealt with iron-hands.”
He further informed that there would be certain restrictions on vehicle movement on the Poll day and appealed all to cooperate for the successful completion of the simultaneous election.
