PANGIN,  Sep 13:An urgent coordination meeting to take stock of the law and order situation in the event of an impending blockade in Pangin area was held today at Pangin, Siang District under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Siang District Rajeev Takuk and attended by SP Siang Kushal Pal Singh, admin officers of DC office, officials from Police Department and Public leaders of Pangin area. 
 
The Deputy Commissioner in his address stated that the meeting was convened to assess the law and order scenario and to prevent occurrence of any untoward incident. Terming economic blockade as the greatest form of agitation,  he urged the stakeholders to reconsider their decision. Stating that progress and development can materialize only in a peaceful environment,  he urged the agitators to adopt peaceful and democratic means to raise any contention. He further added that economic blockade would disrupt all developmental and normal activities with the worst  sufferers being the common public. Reiterating the agitators to maintain calm, he once again urged them to reconsider their decision for carrying out of economic blockade in the area. 
 
SP Siang urged all stakeholders to maintain peace and to work towards development of the district as a whole.  Stating that in any agitation, youngsters are the major participants, he urged the public leaders as elders to guide and lead the youth in righteous path. He requested the leaders to ensure non-occurence of any unlawful activity. 
 
Several public leaders from Pangin area spoke on the occasion. Appreciating District Administration and Police Department for their response and efforts in resolving the issue in hand,  they placed the concerns of public of Pangin and their sentiments in respect to the head quarters issue. Informing all members present about the resolutions adopted by agitators, they assured that they would try their best to ensure peaceful agitation.
