PANGIN, Oct 4: A meeting regarding immediate construction of Sanggam-Boleng BRTF road and payment of compensation for damages of fields and irrigation canals along the BRTF road near Yeksi village was held on October 3 at DC office,  Pangin under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Siang District Rajeev Takuk. The meeting was attended by DLRSO Pumek Ronya, Deputy Director Agriculture Baleng Mengu, OC 1448 BCC, OIC Boleng BRTF,  ex-ZPM Taben Jamoh and the affected parties.
The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned departments of Agriculture and WRD to immediately assess the damage.
Asking BRTF personnel to pursue the case for early release of compensation to the affected individuals with their higher authorities. He directed DLRSO and BRTF OC to carry out a joint inspection of the damages and submit a report within seven days.
