TEZU, Apr 5:Under the Chairmanship of Lohit District Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki a preliminary meeting on Ayushman Bharat- National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM) was held at his office here today.

At the onset, Deputy Commissioner gave a brief introduction on the AB-NHPM which aims to provide health protection of up to INR 5 Lakh per annum per family to poor and vulnerable families for secondary and tertiary medical benefits.

In this regard, he requested the stakeholders to prepare for a data collection drive of the beneficiaries through proper identification and verification based on Socio Economic Caste Census 2011.

Gram Sewaks, ASHAs, ANMs, AWWs and others should be involved in this process, he told.

District Medical Officer, District RCH Officer, District Panchayat Development Officer, Deputy Director (ICDS), and AUPO (Urban Development), Project Director DRDA were present in the meeting.
