ITANAGAR, May 13: Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Himanshu Gupta on Monday directed the PWD Capital division A & B to speed up the construction of a bridge connecting G-Sector and  F-Sector with Division IV and Senki Park area including construction of culvert at ESS Sector on a war footing.
Expressing concern over the delay in completing the bridge and hardship faced by residents, DC while interacting with this scribe said that strong direction have been issued to the PWD to immediately execute the construction of the bridge. He informed that the bridge is expected to be completed in the next three months.
He also informed executing department has been directed to complete the culvert at ESS sector which connects Bank Tinali and Ganga Market via Hotel Donyi Polo, DDK, ESS sector to SP Office road on priority.
“A meeting in this regard has also been convened recently wherein the Chief Secretary also stressed on completing the two projects as soon as possible. The direction was passed by CS and taken up by me which was followed by a site visit to take stock of the situation,” he informed.
Meanwhile, the DC also appealed all commuters to obey traffic rules and park their vehicles at designated parking places especially along the  highway and other arterial roads.
