ITANAGAR, Apr 19:

 

The district administration today declared the proposed demonstration in front of the State Bank of India at VIP Road, Itanagar and Naharlagun and in front of all ATMs of the capital complex on April 20 from 9 AM to 12 Noon by the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) as illegal and has directed the party to refrain/desist from holding such demonstration.

 

The I/c Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Itanagar Capital Complex Talom Dupak in the order stated that such types of demonstration by any individual/ groups or Political Parties is illegal and unconstitutional and uncalled for which may lead to unpleasant situation in the Capital Complex and for maintenance of law and order and public peace and security of the people, immediate precautionary, preventive and other actions under law to be taken, as may be necessary. 

Further stating that there is a designated area near Tennis Court, IG Park, Itanagar for conducting any kind of dharna, protest, rally, etc, the I/c DC informed that the APCC has not followed the system and has not intimated the District Administration about the proposed demonstration and the leader of the Party shall be held responsible in case of any damage.
