ITANAGAR, Jan 16: A team led by Senior Vety Officer (IMC) Dr. G Piel conducted stray animal drive at Naharlagun area on Tuesday. The areas covered were model village, helipad area, police colony, F,G,D, sectors, dam site area in Pachin colony. Combining all the drives, the DA has evicted a total of 250 animals till date.
The Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan has requested denizens to cooperate with the District Administration and to refrain from letting their animals out in the open which results in traffic problems, unhygienic atmosphere etc.
The DC has informed that the DA will continue with the drive while also observing Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
