ITANAGAR, Jul 5: The District Administration Capital Complex carried out surprise checking of car decor outlets at Naharlagun area on Thursday. During the course of checking, the team seized small quantity of black colour film and large number of illegal vehicle registration plates.
District Transport Officer, C Wangsu informed that few taxis were also challaned for running without plying permit and for not using yellow number plate.
The Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Vikram Singh Malik has time and again stressed that District Administration has zero tolerance against such violators and that the drive will continue till citizens learn to abide by traffic rules and regulations. He has requested all government departments, organisations and vehicle owners to use high security registration plates (HSRP) instead of locally made ones as per the Supreme Court order. DIPRO
