Itanagar, May 16: A team of officers from Itanagar Municipal Council led by Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Goliath Phil conducted stray animal eviction drive in the capital complex area.
During the drive that was conducted on Wednesday and today as per the direction of the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Himanshu Gupta, a total of 40 stray animals were evicted. DC has requested the denizens of the Capital Complex to cooperate with the administration and refrain from letting their animals out in the open which results in various nuisances like traffic problems, unhygienic atmosphere etc.
DC informed that the drive will continue within the parameters of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. DIPRO
