ITANAGAR, Jan 10: A team led by Senior Vety Officer(IMC) Dr. G Piel conducted drive to eliminate stray animals that are left in the open by the owners which causes obstruction, nuisance, traffic problems and unhygienic atmosphere at public places, roads etc. at Banderdewa area today. During the drive, around 16 animals were evicted.
Combining all the drives, the DA has evicted a total of 226 animals till date.
The DA has requested the residents of Capital Complex to cooperate with the administration and not to let loose their animals and to keep them confined.
The DA will keep on continuing with the drive while also observing prevention of cruelty to Animals Act, a release stated this evening.
