Aalo, May 10: A meeting to review the traffic regulatory measures for tackling the growing problem of traffic congestion in Aalo township was held under the chairmanship of SDO K. Tikhak here at the conference hall of DC office on May 8 last.
It was decided that for managing the rush of people and passengers, a Tata Sumo Terminal will be made operational at Siang Transport Cooperative Society with toilet and counter facilities. It has also been decided to park all commercial vehicles like trucks, tractors, pickup vans, buses etc at earmarked places in the outskirts of the town.
Loading and unloading timings for trucks and buses have been fixed as before 7 am in the morning and after 8 pm in the evening to avoid rush and congestion. No Parking Zones shall be identified soon as a measure to tackle the trend of irresponsible parking in the township areas.
Representatives from the district administration, police, ATPWDS, bazar secretaries, NGOs, Tata Sumo & Auto business associations were present in the meeting with their suggestions. DIPRO
