ITANAGAR, May 28:Taking cognizance of rampant earth cutting which caused soil erosion in various places under capital complex, the Deputy Commissioner, Capital Complex In-charge cum District Magistrate Talom Dupok has issued prohibitory order banning such illegal activities within the Capital complex.

The order was issued after few media persons raised the issue before him today at his office, who also urged him to take action against several earth-movers plying without registration and working without any order obtained from the district administration.

The DC in the order directed OC PS, Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa to conduct an exercise to check every entry point to check such unauthorised earth movers with immediate effect.
