PANGIN, Jun 28:A meeting in connection with upgradation of Kebang secondary school to a model residential school under CM Adhunik Patshala Yojana was today held at government secondary school, Kebang Circle, Siang District under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh, and attended by DDSE among others including school faculty and PRI leaders.
Singh in his address stated that the objective of the meeting was to discuss various issues relating to the school including its requirements so as to enable the best possible implementation of the scheme and to ensure its efficient functioning.
The DC informed the gathering in detail about the various objectives and contents of the scheme including its guidelines. Assuring provision of best facilities of a residential school in the model school, he urged all present to be forthcoming and get their children admitted to this model school rather than opting for private schools. He sought all out cooperation from all stakeholders to make the endeavour a success and ensured to take up their genuine grievances and needs at the earliest.
The village authorities and public representatives from the area including the teaching faculty expressed their grievances and placed a memorandum stating their requirements.
The team then carried out a site inspection of the school to assess the ground situation and chart out a plan accordingly.
