ZIRO, Nov 23: The three day cultural extravaganza organized by North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) in collaboration with the District Administration, Lower Subansiri ended on a colourful note at Hija today. 
During the three day event, Cultural troupes from Meghalaya, Manipur, Gujarat, Assam and Himachal Pradesh enthralled the audience with their performances at Boasimla, Yachuli and Ziro.
NEZCC , with its headquarters at Dimapur is one of the seven zonal Cultural Centers under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. These centres aim to preserve, innovate and promote the rich cultural diversity and uniqueness of various folk and tribal arts by providing a common platform to artists for meaningful interaction and to promote cultural integration amongst the zones. 
Attending the valedictory function at Govt Higher Secondary school Hija playground, Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar extended gratitude to the cultural troupes from across the country for providing the opportunity to the natives of Lower Subansiri to witness various folk dance forms live. 
"Such cultural exchange programs will promote brotherhood amongst all Indians. For the people of North East and Arunachal Pradesh in particular this is an opportunity to showcase our rich culture and traditions and hospitality to our artists, " he added.

He further exhorted the youths to be forerunners in preserving culture and traditions. 

Deputy Director, NEZCC M. Senti highlighted the activities under NEZCC. 
The highlights of the cultural program were Garba by Team Gujarat ,Mouri Nati dance form from Himachal Pradesh, Kitlam from Manipur.  
The valedictory function was attended by officers, Goan Buras and public.
