ITANAGAR, Oct 9: State Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar undertook a whirlwind tour of West Kameng and Tawang districts from October 6-9 to take stock of various infrastructural needs.
At Tawang, he visited the Bumla Pass and interacted with the Indian Army troops. While interacting with the tourists, he reviewed the amenities available for them at this important tourist destination and visited the Tsachu Hot spring water, the Holy Chumey Gyasar Falls and Mago village during the trip. Visiting Government Primary School and Mago Hydel,  CS interacted with the villagers who made the request to sanction a Fair Price Shop and an additional turbine in the power house. He also reviewed the progress of BADP Schemes at Mago village under Chief Secretary's Discretionary Fund and directed the EE RWD to put extra efforts to complete the Mago-Thingbu PMGSY Road at the earliest. During the last leg of his tour, he visited the Dorjee Khandu Memorial Museum, Jamtse Gatsel Children's Community at Lumla and interacted with the faculty and children of the institute. Expressing satisfaction over the yeoman service rendered by the Director of the institute, Lobsang Phuntsok, he also assured him to provide full support to the institute in both personal and official capacity. DC Tawang gave a Power Point Presentation on Tawang district and made an overview of the developmental activities being undertaken in the district by various departments. CS further visited the proposed sites for airport, railway survey office, etc at Tawang and asked the DC to explore the feasibility of harnessing wind or solar energy at Bumla Pass and put up public conveniences at all important tourist places. He also asked the DC to make Tawang district the most tourist friendly and cleanest in the country. Apart from the District Administration, Army, ITBP, GREF accorded warm reception during his visit to the district.
Secretary (Health), Parthibhan,SP, Tawang, ADC, PD, EE(RWD) and EAC also accompanied the Chief Secretary during tour.
