KIMIN, Dec 2: Chief Secretary Satya Gopal launched the Positive Lives Under Safety (PLUS) project - a state government initiative to decrease the Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate at Community Health Centre, Kimin today in presence of a host of officials.
Later the Chief Secretary addressed the gathering at Sarkar Apke Dwar camp at Kimin and appealed the people especially pregnant women to avail the benefit of the PLUS  project and informed that the project is an innovative project of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to reduce Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate in the state and to encourage more institutional delivery in all health facilities.
He further informed that under PLUS project, a team comprising of ANM, ASHA and anganwadi workers will be constituted, and they should work in team spirit to make the PLUS project successful. Their performance will be reviewed quarterly and the best performing team will be awarded cash incentive of Rs.50,000, 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 respectively .
The objective of the PLUS is to ensure quality health service like ANC visit by specialist, identification, tracking and timely intervention, ensure the provision of JSY, JSSK and PMSMA and to reduce out of pocket expenditure of pregnant women.  PLUS project will also provide multi-facility single window camps in convergence with Women and Child Development, banks, Aadhaar, CMAAY and PMJAY.
