Itanagar, Sep 13: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar inspected various Branches of Civil Secretariat establishments here today to get himself acquainted with the organizational set ups and their workings. He was accompanied by Sadhana Deori Secretary GA, Special Secretary IT Bhanu Prabha, Tana Nekam Tara PWD Executive Engineer Capital Division (A), Galo Tagar AE Capital Sub- Division 5/A, and Junior Engineers of PWD and Power department.
Advocating use of technology for better integrated and more efficient systems, Chief Secretary pushed for digitization of Service Books, other Office records and proceedings such as Receipt and Dispatch, Salary Statements, file movements etc during his inspection to the Bill Branch, Receipt and Dispatch Branches, SBI Branch, and NIC in the Civil Secretariat. He directed the Secretary GA and Special Secretary IT to come up with a Centralized Plan where all these could be recorded permanently in a digital format which will help to integrate different departments into one platform.
He also suggested that the pay statements could be sent through mobile messages instead of hard copy, thereby minimizing the use/wastage of inks (cartridges) and papers.
CS also checked some of the Service Books of All India Service and APCS officers during his inspection.
He further directed the PWD Engineers to repair leakages and maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the Civil Secretariat Building. PRO CS
