Itanagar, Dec 6: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar reviewed the progress of work of the four lane road in the State Capital in a meeting convened at his Conference Hall, Civil Secretariat, today. Commissioner PWD, Secretary Planning, Chief Engineer Highways, representatives of TK Consortium, independent engineers from MoRTH and others were present in the meeting.
Chief Secretary expressed his concern over the slow progress of the work and asked the TK Consortium to put in every possible effort to expedite the construction of the capital road.
Emphasizing on quality work and early completion, he asked the TK Consortium to increase the working hours and also put extra men and machines in order to expedite and complete the construction of four lane road at the earliest.
He assured to provide necessary support from the District Administration and the Government if and when required.

A joint inspection headed by Chief Secretary along with all the stakeholders will be held on December 7 to assess the status on ground. The site of inspection will be from Chandranagar Bridge, Itanagar to Papu Nallah, Naharlagun.
