ITANAGAR, May 28:In a complaint letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Forest Colony Welfare Committee of Indira Gandhi Park under Ward no 10 has drawn his attention towards encroachment under the vicinity of the park.
It expressed concern over few government infrastructure that are coming up inside the park which has reduced the landscape of the lone park in the state capital into a small area today.
It also observed that continuous activities within the park premises is leading to noise pollution causing untold grievances to nearby residents.
It further requested the CS to intervene and initiate necessary action for complete ban on use of plastic items within the premises and direct all government departments not to encroach the land in the name of development.
