ITANAGAR, Aug 24: Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Saturday visited the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy where he inspected the infrastructures and interacted with the officers of Sports & Youth Affairs Department and coaches and instructors of various sports disciplines.
Besides inspecting the astro-turf football ground, hockey ground, swimming pool, weightlifting, taekwondo hall & other infrastructures of the academy, he observed the class room teaching-learning process and spoke to the students to know their learning outcome. He also advised the Principal, Komen Zirdo and other teaching faculties to find out ways and means for bringing further improvement in academic pursuits and sports excellence. Assurance of all possible support to the school management from the government to transform it to a model sports academy at par with other sports schools of the country was given by the CS.
Secretary, SYA Dani Salu, Director of Sports Tadar Appa, Director of Youth Affairs D.K. Dinglow and other senior officers were present on the occasion. DC, Capital Complex and OSD also accompanied the CS during the visit. Newsdesk
