Anini, May 10: CPR and First Aid Training was conducted in Anini by the Comprehensive Resuscitation Training Center (CRTC) AIIMS New Delhi on May 9. 
Resource Persons included Dr Shailendra Kumar, Dr Dhruv Jain, Dr San Yasmin Hussain and Miss Sonali Kumari from AIIMS New Delhi. It is the first time the Center is conducting such training in the state. Participants were imparted training on basic first aid during any minor or major accidents which was followed by a Hands-on training for inducing CPR. 
Deputy Commissioner, Pagli Sora in his welcome address highlighted the importance for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which is an emergency life saving procedure and extremely effective in countering cardiac arrest when administered at the right time. 
District Medical Officer, Dr Hangkham Tangjam expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for training the medical staff on the latest protocols and use of updated technology. The team was also taken on a visit to the District Hospital, Anini.
The training was attended by 150 participants which included Medical Professionals, Administrative Officers, ITBP & Police Personnel, Trekking guides, among others.
