NAMSAI, Dec 20: The 186 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized Civic Action Programme at Namsai today and distributed dustbins to at least 22 shops as well as banks and hospital.
Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, Bijoy Talukdar, Superintendent of Police Ankit Singh , Commandant, 186 Bn CRPF, Rajiv Kumar attended the event along with the rank and file of CRPF.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the 186 Bn CRPF for continuously supporting the district in maintaining peace and tranquillity. “Besides their regular duty, organizing Civic Action Programme for the local people is a commendable effort towards a better atmosphere and a better society," he added.
Commandant Rajiv Kumar informed that Civic Action Programme is an initiative to maintain cordial relation between locals and men in uniform.
