Khonsa, Jan 21: The 36 Bn CRPF as a part of its Civic Action programme today distributed solar lanterns to the inhabitants of Laho (Dadam area), a distant village in Tirap district with the aim of giving them respite from the unending problem of acute shortage and interrupted power supply.
Commandant 36 Bn Battalion S.R Behura, Second in Command Anil Kishor Yadav, Deputy Commandant M.S. Yadav, Chief and 2nd Chief of Laho Rawang Lowang and  Lewang Kamhoa respectively, Headmaster, Government Primary School Laho N. Aboh, Chief of Huakan, Kamwang Lowang  and other dignitaries  were present on the occasion. CRPF chose these two villages for their Civic Action Programme since power supply is a major problem here affecting all villagers particularly the students. Villagers and Chiefs thanked the Commandant 36 Bn CRPF and appreciated the paramilitary force for their people-friendly initiatives in remote regions and requested to continue with such activities in future.
It is worth mentioning that CRPF is carrying out such programmes in many distant villages in Tirap & Longding districts in order to strengthen their relationship with civilians. DIPRO
