NAMSAI, Mar 3: In a noble gesture, the 186 Battalion of CRPF, Namsai donated 36 water filters to the villagers of Kaichu village of Namsai district as a part of its Civic Action Programme.
Elaborating on the event, 2nd-In-Command CRPF, 186 Bn Namsai Amit Mishra informed that apart from their official duties, Civic Action Programme is often carried out to create a sense of security and trust between the common people and security forces. “We have been organizing such programmes in different parts of Namsai district, especially in rural areas. 186bn has donated computers, library books and had even renovated Community Halls in many villages,” informed Mishra.
Besides CRPF officers and jawans, Gaoh Burahs of Kaichu village, AE( PHED) Namsai and locals attended the event.
