ITANAGAR, May 9: Abotani Clan Organization (ATCO) in its representation to the Chief Minister has urged for immediate creation of Department of Abotani Tradition and Culture Affairs. Substantiating its demand, ATCO stated due to advent of modernization and influx of new cultures from various parts of the country, the indigenous way of life is at the verge of extinction. ‘Creation of the said department is not only to protect and preserve indigenous culture but also to bring peace and tranquillity in society that will go along with development of the state,’ stated the release.
