Tawang, Mar 24: To review the preparedness of screening and quarantine facilities in Tawang district, Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok along with SP B. Kamduk and DMO Dr. Wangdi Lama today visited the Jang checkgate, Ugyen Tsangpo helipad and designated quarantine centres.
Information regarding state lockdown are being disseminated through PA system and All India Radio regularly. Usual public movement on the streets remained thin and only the medical stores and essential commodity supply shops were found to be open. Strict vigil and screening of students and others coming from outside the state are being done by the administration and health department. 
Tawang District Administration has set up a District Emergency operation centre here at the DC Office with 24x7 Helpline number 03794-222203 and the Covid-19 Helpline at KDS District Hospital Tawang which is 03794-223340. All Gaon Buras and public representatives have been sent request letters to monitor those kept at home quarantine and inform the respective health centres and administrative officers in case any Covid-19 symptoms are observed including those who are in village self-quarantine.
Various committees and flying squads under supervision of the DC and respective ADCs have been formed to monitor all activities. Administrative officers and IDSP Unit officials have been visiting the self-quarantined persons and tracking the tourists who visited Tawang during last few days. DIPRO
