ITANAGAR, Jul 6: In a sad development, Arunachal Pradesh recorded its second COVID-19 death on Monday.
The patient a 40-year-old male, a resident of Dirang, West Kameng had been brought to the dedicated COVID hospital TRIHMS from Tawang with renal failure since the past couple of weeks.
Secretary Health, P Parthiban has confirmed the report of the second fatality due COVID-19 with comorbidity (renal failure).
As per the official sources, the person was a Delhi returnee who had gone there for treatment for renal failure. However, he returned to the state and went to Tawang for dialysis, where he tested positive for COVID-19 on June 19 last and was referred to TRIHMS for further treatment.
Meanwhile, on Monday one positive case was reported from Itanagar capital complex while 14 patients recovered at Changlang.
Active cases stood at 176, discharged at 92 and 2 deaths as per the bulletin released by the health department.
