Ziro, Apr 29: Tanw Supun Dukun, the apex council of the Apatanis has donated one lakh each to the District Administration and the District Health Society in appreciation of their selfless services in combating the Covid-19 pandemic in Lower Subansiri district.
In its letter of appreciation, the apex body commended the timely planning, guidance, management and executing process of the central government guidelines and SOPs resulting in a sense of security amongst the people of Ziro. Assuring full support to the DA in combating the pandemic, TSD informed that it has already directed its sister organisations and citizens to co-operate and extend full support to the cause and a ‘Covid-19 Task Force Team’ has been formed by them which will work with the administration as and when required.
TSD President Hage Tado, Secretary Pura G Tago and other members were presented during the cheques’ handling to the Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar and DMO Dr. Tage Kanno. 500 masks were also presented by the body to the SP. DIPRO
