ZIRO, Aug 8: The District Tuberculosis Forum (DTBF) meeting was held today in the office chamber of DC Ziro.
Chairing the meeting, Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Chukhu Takar who is also the Chairperson of the DTBFsaid that awareness on the disease and by inculcating hygienic living can help eliminate the disease.
Exhorting all to support and guide the TB patients, he added, "Alienating these patients is not the solution to eliminate the disease. Rather proper counselling and timely medication of TB patients will accelerate elimination of TB from the state.”
District Tuberculosis Officer, Dr. Hage Nibo who is also the Member Secretary, DTBF presented a power point presentation on TB scenario of Lower Subansiri district and highlighted on the role of responsibilities of the DTBF members.
Later cured TB patients shared their stories and also assured to share and motivate other patients.
