ITANAGAR, Jun 2:

The Central Executive Members of apex employees organization of State Government, the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) called on the Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein at his official residence at Niti Vihar here today.

 

In his interaction, Mein assured to bring their pending demands to the notice of the State Cabinet with due approval from the Chief Minister.

Their demands include implementation of Revised Allowances such as Non-Practice Allowance (NPS) for doctors, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Tough Location Allowance (TLA), TA/DA (new rules), Children Education Allowance (CEA), Transport Allowance (TPTA), restoration of Medical Re-imbursement and timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee, etc.

Headed by Pate Marik, President and Gonya Riba, General Secretary, Members of Central Executive Committee of CoSAAP thanked the State Govt for timely implementation of the 7th Central Pay Commission in the State and also for various welfare measures taken by the State Govt for its employees from time to time.

 

They apprised the DCM that the State Govt vide Order No. FIN/E-II/28/2017 Dated 2/4/2018 has granted HRA, TA/DA Rules, TLA and CEA to only All India Service Officers serving in the State but not granted to the State Govt employees and requested for immediate implementation of all the Revised Allowances by  the Govt for the State Govt employees too.  

They also requested the Govt either to restore the old system of Medical Re-imbursement (MR) or to implement the All India Medical Attendance Rules for State Govt Employees as per recommendations of 7th CPC citing that since the implementation of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Universal Health Insurance Scheme (APCMUHIS) in the year 2014, Medical Re-imbursement for the Govt Employees was discontinued and even after the discontinuation of APCMUHIS in the year 2016, the MR system has not yet been restored for the State Govt employees.

Lauding the State Govt’s decision for holding Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) in every sixth month vide Order No. 280434-II/64/2017 Dtd 18/10/2017, CEC CoSAAP further sought for strict implementation of the same citing that many Govt employees are deprived from timely promotions due to non-conduct of DPC by the departments on time.
