ITANAGAR, Feb 21: A team from Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) led by its President Pate Marik met Chief Secretary recently and discussed several issues concerning government employees.
The team apprised CS that though Central Pay Commission recommendation was implemented in the state but Tough Location Allowance (TLA) and Travelling Allowance (TA), the major components of 7th CPC recommended allowances are yet to be granted to state government employees.
It said that allowances such as House Rent, Transport Allowance, Children Education, Non Practicing Allowance for Doctors; Nursing Allowance etc are still due to the state employees as per 7th CPC recommendation.
The CoSAAP said that the Chief Secretary after reviewing their grievances has termed it genuine and assured to The CS also asked the employees of the state to work dedicatedly for the benefit of needy people and overall development of the state. The Chief Secretary said that new rules/guidelines shall be made in regards to transfer and posting of officers/officials in the state from next fiscal year to improve the work culture.
The CoSAAP also stated that the Chief Secretary termed APSSB episode as very unfortunate and assured that a modality shall be found out shortly to curtail the chances of repetition of such type of malpractices in the board.
