Yupia, Sep 23: A coordination meeting on Table Top Exercise for the District Level Mock Exercise on earthquake was conducted here at DC Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Tabang Bodung to discuss the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders during any emergency.
Bodung said that it is very important to have a well-planned disaster management preparedness mechanism for the district and adequate time should be put into planning and preparation long before disaster strikes. He further called upon all stakeholders and heads of departments to work in a coordinated manner during emergencies and also asked DDMO to work in tandem with NDRF team and prepare a disaster management plan.
Meanwhile 12th Bn NDRF Inspector Vivek gave presentation on Table Top Exercise and overview of NDRF and informed that their team is always alert and ready to assist the District Administration during any emergency. Earlier, DDMO Tsering Youngzom briefed on the objective of the meeting and gave presentation on earthquake and scenario of mock exercise.
