ROING, Apr 26: In view of the arrival of southwest monsoon DDMO, Roing held a co-ordination meeting under the chairmanship of I/c Deputy Commissioner for Disaster preparedness, Chestha Yadav on Wednesday, attended by HoDs, administrative officers, BRTF, CRPF among others.

Emphasizing on pre-inspection and survey of all vulnerable locations, Yadav directed the departments to ensure man and machinery are ready for mitigating any threatening repercussion. She also directed the line department to be on alert and check water levels regularly, inspection of the water tank and provision for safe drinking water, along with inspection of the road, clearance of drainage-road, and uninterrupted communication network etc. 

She also directed BRTF, CRPF and Fire service to remain alert and sought the updated report on manpower and list of inventories available to them. She further directed the DMO to alert the medical team for emergency duties and to keep ready ambulance with equipment and medical supplies for any emergency situations. She also instructed the supply branch to place sufficient food grains and essential commodities to all remote outposts. DDMO, Alokong Perme, urged all departments to go through DDMP particularly SOPs of respective department and seek rectification of any shortcomings.
