Roing, Sep 17: A convergence meeting under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao(BBBP) Scheme was held today at the DC's Conference Hall by the WCD department with the allied departments and the stakeholders.
Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom called for a coordinated effort on the part of the WCD department, health department and Health & Family Welfare department in collection and compilation of data to come up with an updated sex ratio at birth of the district. 
A. K. Bhattacharya, Master Trainer(BBBP) emphasised on correct statistical data of sex ratio at birth for a good strategic planning in implementation of BBBP Scheme. He said that work on ground level can be good and effective only when effective planning with correct data is done, which can lead to an improved sex ratio in the district.
DD(ICDS) G. A. Perying and CDPO Jikom Doye briefed about the scheme and activities undertaken under BBBP in the district. DIPRO
