NAHARLAGUN, Apr 30: A delegation of All Arunachal Contractors' Welfare Association (AACWA) met both the Chief Secretary and Secretary (Finance) of the state separately on April 28 and apprised them about the problems they are facing due to halt in payment of government transaction dues since March 28 last.
Hearing the grievances of the association led by its President Nabam Akin Hina, both Chief Secretary and Secretary (Finance) informed that the ban was ready for removal, but couldn’t be done due to repeated re-polls and incidences of poll violence in some districts that has kept the state government busy. CS assured AACWA that order will be issued shortly after completion of election procedures involving delivery and receipt of all EVMs by the administration.
AACWA further requested the Chief Secretary to release immediately at least the amounts ranging between Rs. 5-10 lakhs and lift the complete ban in a phase-wise manner as per the financial position of the state exchequer. AACWA Press Release
